MPA BA COMPETITION CHASSIS (#1 CHASSIS IN THE 2016 & 2017 PRS)

This is the competition version of MPA's highly successful BA Chassis System.

The BA Competition Chassis is designed to give shooters a competitive advantage when shooting in long range tactical rifle competitions, such as the PRS. In addition to the standard chassis features (listed below), it has been enhanced with the following:

• Models no longer feature rotating barricade stop, but now include the Ultra Bag Rider
• Additional Hole locations on the forend for locating the rotating barricade stop
• Spigot Mount – attaches to the front of the forend to give the shooter additional space to mount their bipod

This unique chassis system provides a super precision platform for the Remington 700 and clones.

Whether you’re increasing the accuracy capabilities of your existing action, due to the V-Bedding System; adding tactical features to your rifle; or building a precision rifle for long range competitions, this chassis is a platform sure to exceed your expectations.

The V-Bedding system is also configured to allow the user to glass bed the action and straight section of the barrel, if desired.

The chassis is machined on CNC Horizontal Machining Centers to exacting tolerances from 6061 aluminum. The MPA produced buttstock includes an adjustable length of pull, recoil pad with height and cant adjustment, adjustable cheek riser and adjustable monopod (monopod replaced with bag rider on Competition model).

Length of pull is between 13.5-14.75″ although this length can be modified by thinner or thicker recoil pads. Weight is 5.0 lbs. The upper Night Vision bridge provides a seat for a picatinny rail.

The options for this rifle in color and barrel profile are very specific. This gives us the ability to offer this world class rifle at an attractive pricing structure.

Available in a multitude of calibers, the Chassis’ for this rifle are available in Black and Tungsten and the barrel will be a Polished 26″ MPA Match Contour. These economies of scale on the chassis cerakoting process and barrel manufacturing process provides cost reduction to the over rifle package price.

Calibers available are 223, 6BR, 6BRA, 6 Dasher, 6GT, 6mm Creedmoor, 25 Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5×47 Lapua, 6.5 PRC, and 308.

Function: Significantly Reduces Recoil while keeping the muzzle down
Design: The multiple blast ports redirects propellent gases to counter recoil from the firearm. The unique port pattern also directs the gas upward, forcing the muzzle down. This allows the shooter to see trace and bullet impact/misses for more concise follow up shots.

These brakes are specifically designed to be used in PRS style competitions when extreme recoil reduction is required during the firing of the rifle to allow the shooter to stay on target for follow up shots. Using our special testing system, we have tweaked the design to achieve a 63% reduction in recoil.

The jam nut collar system utilizes a design that allows the shooter to jam the nut and brake against each other in the appropriate position on the muzzle of the rifle. There are 2 machined flats that are used to both level the brake body as well as interfacing with an adjustable wrench for installation of the brake.  It not only eliminates the need for ground shims, but also aligns the ID of the brake perpendicular with the shoulder of the barrel, minimizing initial point of impact shift.
