Used from 1988 until 2019. The first 5,000 rifles delivered were manufactured in Austria by Steyr Daimler Puch. Latter versions were the Australian ADI-made Austeyr F88 variant, locally designated IW

We are organizing a shipment, if you are willing to add one of the AUG into your Collection. Please supply us your import permit, list us as your import agent.

The AUG was adopted by the Austrian Army in 1977 as the StG 77(Sturmgewehr 77),^[6] where it replaced the 7.62×51mm NATO StG 58 automatic rifle.^[7] In production since 1977, it is the standard small arm of the Bundesheerand various Austrian federal police units and its variants have also been adopted by the armed forces of dozens of countries, with some using it as a standard-issue service rifle.
