Haenel JAEGER NXT COMPOSITE Straight Pull 308
The composite version of the straight-pull bolt-action rifle Jaeger NXT. It combines astraight-pull system and manual cocking mechanism with a dynamic synthetic stock, that offers excellent adjustability.
Preferred use: A fast, safe straight-pull rifle for dynamic hunting situations – a ideal for driven and stalking hunts. Added safety thanks to the manual cocking system – of course also perfectly suited for stand hunting.
Left-Version for the same price
When launching the Jaeger NXT, Haenel deliberately positioned it as an affordable challenger in the modern straight-pull/manual bolt-action rifle segment. This claim also applies to the left-handed version: The Jaeger NXT Left is offered at the same recommended retail price as the composite right-handed model with its highly acclaimed plastic stock – contributing to equal hunting opportunities for the often-ignored group of left-handed shooters.
- Straight-pull bolt-action
A: The bolt handle moves the bolt body in a straight line nd locks the lug bolt into the barrel – enabling fast, ergonomic cycling.

B: The bolt handle also functions as a manual cocking device. Only in the final third of its movement does a downward push cock the system – just before the shot. Safer than any conventional safety.

Bolt lock handling
The bolt lock lever (press to the left to unlock) adds an extra level of safety while carrying the rifle.
Left position: Pressing the button allows the bolt to be opened – for loading and safe unloading.
Middle detent: Ready to fire – depending on the cocking status (bolt handle).
Right detent: Safety position that blocks the bolt handle to prevent unintentional cocking.
- Three-way adjustable synthetic stock
Adjusting stock length: Whether wearing a thick jacket or a hunting shirt – optional recoil pads are fitted before the hunt.
Zoom cheekpiece: At the push of a button, the cheekpiece moves to the optimal position – for quicker target acquisition.
Fore-end with grip: No matter where the shooter instinctively places their hand, the tapered fore-end ensures a secure hold for all hand sizes and helps pull the rifle firmly into the shoulder pocket.

The straight-pull hunting repeater Jaeger NXT DS from the German gunsmith Haenel shines with technical finesse and ecological sustainability. Furthermore, the DS stock caters to the female anatomy and generally works excellently for smaller hand and body sizes. The torsion lock with kick-down chamber handle combines repeating and manual cocking in one lever and impresses with ergonomics and speed. The novel, lightweight FSC-certified wood composite stock in the DS version, with its noble characteristic grain, is made of birch wood and is as resistant as a synthetic stock. All plastic parts of the rifle are also made from a sustainable resin-cellulose composite material.
