Description

ADI rifle powders are single-component, perforated tubular propellants. The expertise of Australian Munitions in developing powders for the Australian Defence Force has demonstrated that powders with these qualities are suitable for use in adverse climatic circumstances. As a result, all rifle powders have ballistic temperature independence; that is, velocities and pressures do not vary significantly with ambient temperature. This is a distinct and significant advantage over the performance of rifle powders from other manufacturers. Furthermore, all of the ADI powders have good loading properties in terms of bulk density and uniformity of metering through powder loaders. They also burn quite cleanly at moderate loads.
